Servings: 8
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel Brie cheese, rind trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

Maple-Honey Pecan Topping

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • ½ cup pecan halves, chopped
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Place the Brie on a rimmed baking sheet or in a small, approximately 5-inch cast-iron skillet.
  3. Sprinkle the top of the Brie with the 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
  4. Bake until the Brie is softened, about 12–15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, combine the ¼ cup brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the mixture becomes foamy, about 1–2 minutes.
  7. Stir in the chopped pecans and dried cranberries.
  8. Spoon the warm maple-honey pecan mixture over the baked Brie.
  9. Serve immediately with crackers or slices of baguette.

Tip: Don't overbake the Brie. It should be very soft and creamy inside while still holding its shape.
