APPLE KUCHEN (FROM DOROTHY)
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 CUP BUTTER - SOFTENED
1 PACKAGE BETTY CROCKER’S YELLOW CAKE MIX
1/2 CUP FLAKED COCONUT
2 1/2 CUPS SLICED APPLES OR 20 OZ. CAN APPLE PIE FILLING
1 TSP. CINNAMON
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1 CUP SOUR CREAM
2 EGG YOLKS OR 1 EGG
DIRECTIONS:
CUT BUTTER INTO THE CAKE MIX UINTIL CRUMBLY. MIX IN COCONUT.
PAT GENTLY INTO UNGREASED 9 X 13 INCH PAN, BUILDING UP SLIGHT EDGES.
BAKE AT 350 DEG. FOR 10 MIN. ARRANGE APPLE SLICES ON WARM CRUST.
MIX SUGAR AND CINNAMON AND SPREAD OVER APPLES. BLEND SOUR CREAM
AND EGG YOLKS, DRIZZLE OVER THE APPLES. BAKE 25 MIN. OR UNTIL EDGES ARE
SLIGHTLY BROWN.
