Brownies

BROWNIES


INGREDIENTS:

1/2 CUP MARGARINE
1 CUP SUGAR
2 EGGS
1/3 CUP MILK
1 CUP SIFTED FLOUR
2 SQUARES BAKERS CHOCOLATE (MELTED)
1/3 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
1/3 CUP DICED PECANS
1/2 TEASPOON RED FOOD COLORING


DIRECTIONS:

CREAM SUGAR AND MARGARINE. ADD EGGS MILK AND FLOUR. BLEND IN MELTED CHOCOLATE AND REMAINING INGREDIENTS. POUR INTO A 9 X 13 INCH BAKING PAN AND BAKE AT 375 DEGREES FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES.

CREAMY CHOCOLATE FROSTING

INGREDIENTS:

6 TABLESPOONS MARGARINE
1 1/2 SQUARES BAKERS CHOCOLATE
4 1/2 TABLESPOONS MILK
1/8 TEASPOON SALT
3 CUPS CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
1 1/2 TEASPOONS VANILLA

DIRECTIONS:

MELT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE AND ADD TO MILK AND SALT.
STIR TO BLEND, ADD POWDERED SUGAR AND VANILLA. BLEND WELL THEN SPREAD OVER TOP OF THE BROWNIES. SPRINKLE WITH CHOPPED PECANS OR WALNUTS.
