INGREDIENTS:
4 CUPS SUGAR
1 CUP WATER
2 CUPS BOILING WATER
1 CUP CORN SYRUP
1/2 TEASPOON MAPLE FLAVORING
1/4 TEASPOON VANILLA FLAVORING
COMBINE THE SUGAR AND THE 1 CUP OF WATER. MIX WELL. COOK WITHOUT STIRRING UNTIL THE SYRUP IS A LIGHT CARAMEL COLOR (338 DEG.) REMOVE FROM THE HEAT. VERY GRADUALLY STIR IN THE BOILING WATER. ADD THE CORN SYRUP. BOIL 2 TO 3 MIN., STIRRING. ADD FLAVORINGS. STORE THE COOLED SYRUP IN COVERED CONTAINER IN REFRIGERATOR. YIELD 5 CUPS.
