Sheila's Meatballs


4 Slices bread
2 lbs.lean ground beef
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
2 TBS. chopped parsley
1/2 TSP. sweet basil
2 small cloves garlic(crushed or grated)
2 TSP. salt
1/2 TSP pepper
3 eggs beaten

Soak bread in milk - squeeze dry - mix with meat, cheese, and next six ingredients. Form into balls the size of walnuts. Roll the balls in flour then brown in oil for a short time until crusty. See below for sauce.


1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 T. Dry mustard
2 T. Worcestershire sauce

Blend the above ingredients and heat. Pour over the meatballs and serve warm.
